At any given time, you might find me tinkering with the computers, Amateur Radio, kayaking, out SCUBA diving, or gardening. Occasionally I get to do some photography, including taking some pictures of the wildlife that wanders into the yard, and of flowers and things.
Of course much of my time is taken up at work. In early 1998, after 15 years working for others, I opened Amaranth Networks, Inc. which is involved in several business areas related to computers and networking.
Once upon a time, I attended the Bronx High School of Science though my name is not likely to add to the list of Nobel Lauriates to graduate there. After that experience, I attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Somehow I seem to have survived all of that and come away with a rather good education!
I also attended Camp Taconic, in Hinsdale, Massachusetts for several years, and these days, run a website for the Camp Taconic Alumni. This has been a fun experience, connecting old friends back together again through the use of Web and Email technology.
When I get a chance, I do some genealogy research on my family tree. Through it I've discovered relatives I didn't know I had, some living nearby even! My Genealogy Page lists the surnames I'm researching.
Lately we've been busy with outdoor activities, including hiking, ocean kayaking, and scuba diving.
If you are looking for some good web pages, take a look at some of the ones I've found. Here are some of the ones I think are interesting pages.
Some technical tidbits on various subjects will be found on my Tech Tips Page.
